Despite being under 30, Jack Barwick is already one of the country’s most exciting chefs.
Working for critically acclaimed restaurant Paradise Garage, in the heart of Bethnal Green, London, Barwick has worked his way through the restaurant group and has done stints in several of their outfits including The Manor and The Dairy. The young chef also teamed up with colleague Patrick Williams last year and used their Durban and Cayman Island roots to form a pop-up dinner, Home Grown Menu, at The Manor, which featured dishes including Bao’s purple yam ice cream. More recently, Barwick has been nominated for the Young Chef of the Year award at this year’s Bookatable by Michelin Young Chef of the Year Awards, which will see an overall winner announced later this year.
